Growing up and learning to enjoy my roots, soul food has always been something I love to perfect. Once, I was able to perfect it like my grandmother and mother. I was ready to add my own twist to the tradition in efforts to elevate the dish. During the holidays being able to enjoyed those flavorful scents and richness when it touches your tongue reminds me every time why learning to moderate my lifestyle with food, has become so rewarding.
